Do you have a PCS move coming up soon? One of my least favorite things above PCSing is fillig in holes in the wall and touching up paint in our rental...It's messy and time consuming. But we do it anyway, because you want every penny of that deposit back! This fall we will be painting pretty much our entire home to get it ready to put on the market this summer (seems like we just got here), so I was very excited to have the opportunity to sample some Scotch 3M painting products!
Scotch and 3M have an awesome new product, the 3M™ Patch Plus Primer Kit, that that can repair damages up to 3 inches in diameter. The kit which retails for $9.99 combines primer and spackle in one, lightweight formula – So convenient!
The wall repair kit inlcudes a 4" self adhesive patch, a 3" putty knife, and a sanding pad to use on a variety of both interior and exterior surfaces like drywall, plaster, stucco, and wood! The product won't shrink or crack and it will be dry and ready to paint in just 30 minutes!
You may also want to grab some Scotch Painters tape for your project. They have several varieties including ScotchBlue TM Painter's Tape Original Multi-Surface, ScotchBlue TM Painter's Tape Multi-Surface with Advanced Edge-Lock TM Paint Line Protector, ScotchBlue TM Painter's Tape Delicate Surface with Advanced Edge-Lock TM Paint Line Protector.
I used the ScotchBlue TM Painter's Tape Delicate Surface with Advanced Edge-Lock TM Paint Line Protector over the weekend for my painting project (we went from a sea green to a fun yellow in our kitchen and entry way) and I was really pleased with the results – Our walls are textured and it can be hard to get a clean line, but as you can see from the picture above we have a nice clean edge! I love the new color and can't wait to get the rest of the house done...Isn't it funny how we only get to all those projects right before we're moving out? That's military life for you!
