It's hard to believe it's already time to start thinking about Christmas - I do a lot of my shopping in the clearance aisles starting the year prior, but I have my kids start compiling their lists in September so I have plenty of time to find bargains for any items I buy off their lists. To avoid spending a small fortune at Christmas, we set a strict budget for what we will spend on each child, for relatives, teachers and each other and stick to it firmly.
