Life today is busy. I feel like I am constantly on the go and never have a minute to myself for anything, let alone time spent reading the Word. Often, I find myself thinking of my devotional time as another thing on my to-do list instead of a time to draw closer to God and become reinvigorated and encouraged through the Word. Women today play so many roles that life can often become overwhelming - Add to that the added responsibilities military spouses face during deployments and sometimes it feels almost unbearable. I find that spending time reading and reflecting on scripture gives me the strength I need to face even the roughest of times.
Hendrickson Publishing and Today's Christian Women released the new Everyday Matters Bible for Women this month. This project provides women with an engaging way to read God's word and apply twenty-four spiritual practices to their lives. The bible is engaging with over 300 features that are applicable to today's Christian woman including articles, reflections, profiles, and more!
Review:
I was very excited for the opportunity to review the new Everyday Matters Bible for Women. The first thing I noticed about the publication during my first flip-through was the attention to detail on the pages. The inside of the Bible is gorgeous with lots of fun details like a turquoise border on some pages and a faded parchment appearance on others. I also love that this Bible is designed for women and helps me to get more from my time spent in the Word - It offers practical encouragement that is pertinent to my life. I really like The New Living Translation because it puts passages into an easy-to-understand format.
The Bible is a great and usable tool for mom's like me who find themselves busy and overwhelmed with life and all its daily tasks. The features make spending time reading scripture rejuvenating and refreshing time when it can sometimes feel like a burden. The amount of content designed specifically for women today is incredible and there are more than 140 contributes providing relevant content.
Priced at $44.95 for the Jacketed Hardcover and $79.95 for the Flexisoft leather the bible is also affordable.
