Last night we went over just the basics on the ways to save at Walgreens. Tonight I wanted to add in a couple items I waited to share like info about their website and an example shopping trip.
1. One major item I waited on is that Register Rewards CAN be used at the Commissary! They are considered "Manufacture Coupons" so are accepted by the Commissary! The cashiers should be well versed in this since it has been a hot issue lately, but if they don't allow it, take it to costumer service - it is Perfectly OK for you to use these at the Commissary (this goes for other catalinas from other stores that are "manufacture coupons")
2. You can shop online at Walgreens' Website. They have good deals sometimes and great photo deals most of the time!
3. Example shopping trip:
Transaction #1
Hyland's Cough & Cold 4 Kids $4.99
-Printable Coupon save $1.50 - comes via email
Pay: $3.49 Get back - $4.99 RR
Transaction #2
Crest Clinical toothpaste 4-4.1 oz or Glide floss $3.99
Transaction #2
Crest Clinical toothpaste 4-4.1 oz or Glide floss $3.99
Vicks Sinex nasal spray $6
-$1 Crest Coupon from 9/26 PG
-$4 Vicks Coupon from 9/26 PG
*Add in small $1 filler
-$1 Crest Coupon from 9/26 PG
-$4 Vicks Coupon from 9/26 PG
*Add in small $1 filler
Use $4.99 RR from above
Final Price: Close to free
Get back $2RR from Vicks and $2RR from Crest
*These are examples, I will try them out tomorrow :)
*I had to add a filler in the 2nd transaction because the RR is considered a "manufacture coupon" and that would make 3 manufacture coupons in that transaction, so I have to have 3 items.
*My 3rd transaction could be to do Transaction #1 again, since it is a money maker. I would not want to do those transactions back to back because if I used the $4.99RR from the cough syrup to buy another cough syrup, I might not get the cough syrup $4.99RR again. If I use Crest and Vicks RRs on another cough syrup transaction, I will get a $4.99RR from the cough syrup.
*Register Rewards can be used on anything in the Walgreens store

I had a little too much fun at Walgreens last night...ended up spending 19.75 and saving 33.41. I'm still an newbie, so I did all my stuff with RR in the first transaction and then I did everything else in the second and spent the rewards...so with the sales and coupons my last transaction was $3.27 for two things for two giant things of Softsoap and a box of Puffs. :)
