Now that we have gathered (step 1) and organized (step 2) our coupons - let's use the ads to make them go even further!
Each weekend I sit down with the ads and scan through to see what's on sale, what coupons match, and what makes for great deals to stock up on.
You can do this a couple ways:
1. You can go through the ads, pick out what you need for the week and then search for coupons in your binder/organizer that match up with sales.
2. Go through the ads, then use the coupon database on My Military Mommy to find coupons that match up to the sales, then find them in your organizer.
3. Let me do the work for you :)
Check "Weekly Ads" at the top of the blog for a list of sales in each of the national stores (Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, and CVS) to see what coupon match ups are available.
*on occasion Walmart will be listed when they release an ad
I usually take out my notebook and scroll through the list making note of items I need or free items or items that have a price I know is great for stocking up!
-I write the item, coupon, and final price.
-Then I search for the coupons in my binder, pull them out and put them in to envelopes marked with that particular store - makes shopping easier if I just have time to run in and out.
-I also add deals I find later in the week to the particular store page in my notebook, like the CVS scenerio just made today for the $4 of $20 coupon.
*How do you use the ads to stretch your coupon savings?
