I wouldn't pay $100 for a compost bin...you can cut the bottom out of a metal or plastic garbage can or rig up a plastic storage bin without too much trouble for a fraction of the price. For while I used an old-school diaper pail we drilled a bunch of holes in.
I had a wooden bin back when we had a house, but I'm not composting now that we live on a base so I don't have to figure out what to do with a bin of rotten food if we end up up getting orders. :) But I do miss it because it was so great to have the compost for my plants!
You could always google "homemade compost bins" and see what pops up.
I like Shopathome.com for Daily Deals.
Thanks :) You always have such great ideas! I do want to compost..glad there is a less expensive alternative (you can see now how new I will be to composting!).
And Thanks for the Shop at Home tip! :)
