Before you do this, make sure there's a place you can use the gift certificate near where you live. I won one from Shopathome awhile back and had to give it to a friend in another state because there's only one place I can use it in Western South Dakota, and it's three hours from my house! But if you can't use it in your hometown, they still make great gifts and it might be nice if you're planning a vacation.
Great idea to make it a gift! The gift certificates are great, but you are right in that the only pain is that they do have some restrictions and they are not good everywhere...still could make for a great deal! Especially traveling! Thanks for the comment! :)
