Monday Money Saving Message- July 12th

A couple of weeks ago the Money Saving Message was about setting up a separate e-mail account just for newsletters and freebies. That same e-mail account can also be used for another way to save money - use it to sign up for Facebook and Twitter!

Facebook and Twitter offer many ways to save - coupons, freebies, heads up on sales and other savings events and more from your favorite companies. Almost any company you can think of probably has a Facebook page or Twitter account and they like to start a buzz by offering items to their followers.

Facebook and Twitter are very easy to join.

Facebook - enter your name, e-mail address, password, and birthdate and you are ready! Keep in mind that you can set your own private settings on facebook to where no one can see anything on your page except your name or to where they can see some or see it all , it's up to you. (I can help with the basics, just e-mail me if you have questions)

Once you are signed on, search for your favorite brands and companies and "like" their page and wait for the deals and coupons to start rolling in :) One of my favorites right now is the Nivea Thursday Happy Hour. Their facebook fans are offered a sample or high value coupon each Thursday from 4-5pm.

Twitter- enter your name, make up a user name, enter your e-mail address, and password to start! Once you are signed up, once again search your for your favorite brands and companies and "follow" them. Each time they send out a message it will show up on your twitter account and you will know all the great sales events and deals first!

This is a short and simple explanation of 2 very popular social networks. They can really help you save money and stay on top of the best deals going on now.
