Monday Money Saving Message - May 17th
Last week the Money Saving Message was about printing coupons and if you should print or not print. Courtney from My DFW Mommy wrote about the benefits of printing coupons and said she "sees coupons as money". I agree! I have discussed in an earlier post where to find coupons, but I wanted to readdress a question I get a lot - "Where can I find military coupons?"
There a couple different places (and please comment to add more places I missed!):
1. The entry of the Commissary - As soon as you walk in the commissary look at the flyer holder (not sure what it's called, but there is usually some place where all of the single page flyers go). I have found great coupons, coupon booklets, Eat Right magazine (with coupons inside), meal ideas, the Commissary's e-mail newsletter printed off, and the maxi saver, all as I walk in the door. Keep your eyes open and take the flyers that anyone gives you in the commissary, they can have great savings inside!
2. On the shelves of the Commissary - when you are shopping they are all around you at the commissary on tear pads and blinkies, even on the products themselves. I found a great coupon for $1.50 off produce if you bought 2 bags of Snyder's tortilla chips. It worked out wonderfully for me because I was already buying both and had a coupon for neither.
3. In The Maxi Saver - I usually find this in the free newspaper on base. Sometimes I can get it as I walk in the Commissary. It is always online and you can print off coupons from their site (just need to register first).
4. Smart Source has special coupons for the military online!
