Need help Selling or Renting a house?

Being a part of the military life is something that I feel so thankful to be involved of and so lucky that I am able to experience all it has to offer. I know that it comes with hardships and challenges. And, I know one of those challenges is housing, when faced with a PCS (permanent change of station, for the non-military readers).
.
When it is time to PCS many families have to make a decision. Do we transfer together as a family and hope that our current house sells or rents, potentially facing financial hardship? Or do separate and send our spouse to be a geographical bachelor and face being separated as a family?
.
It has been my goal, since beginning this site, to help out military families, where I see a need. And I see a need. So, I am so excited to announce that every Saturday I will post, up to 10 houses that are available for rent or sale by or for military families. In order to have your house posted you DO NOT have to be military, but must meet the following guidelines.
.
Here are the Guidelines:
  • The house you want to list must be within a 30 minute drive to a military base or installation.
  • The house must be currently on the market, with a link available to where it is located (ie, AHRN.com, militarybyowner.com, craigslist, mls.com, etc).

  • Photos must accompany the link

  • Real Estate companies may post a listing, if the above requirements are met.

  • Military members get first priority in the listings (theirs will be posted first in the order ) all others will be first come, first serve.

If a house meets all the prior requirements, email me with the following information.

1.Where the house is located, what base(s) or installation is closest

2. The link where I can view the house along with photos

3. If you are a military member or dependent, please tell me at which base you are currently stationed and which branch you belong.

I am truly hoping this helps out some families find peace and comfort knowing we are all in this together and are looking out for one another!

Casey, that is a great idea. When my husband was in the Marines we were the separated family. He was stationed in Camp Lejune, NC and we(our two kids and myself) were here in Virginia.

Thank you so much! When we were PCS-ing here we were in that postion. It scared me so much so we headed to P'Cola and said our prayers! I am really hoping that families find this helpful!
